Yesterday, the How-To Video Results YouTube channel uploaded a video once again featuring the Greg Watkins lookalike I mentioned in a previous update. This time in the former Brightview Secondary College in enough detail to see he is a dead ringer for Greg. It's also been pointed out to me by followers of this site that I missed another appearance by this man in an earlier upload. Both videos are below and timestamped accordingly.
WARNING: this footage may be distressing.
We also see a disfigured man in the latter video appearing alongside Gregs facsimile.
As far as I've been able to investigate, Greg Watkins did not have any offspring or siblings. It's possible that this is a distant relative with an uncanny resemblance, who was directly involved with New World Strategies' activities.
As for the rest of the video, I don't feel it is my place to comment on the revelations regarding Milo Richards passing. I've forwarded this video onto the authorities and that is all I will have to say about it.
In other news, Michelle Docketty replied to me via email shortly after I published her last remarks in a previous update. She insisted that I share them on this website and given her relationship to Trey Docketty I have decided to do so.
Dear Bryan,
It's funny, isn't it? Little green men? Well, you know by now that it's not that.
It might interest you to know that Trey was not an innocent man. The girls are doing well. They weren't the only twins born that day. The Reynolds are human. Does that frighten you?
He was right about the worlds we inhabit. Mr. Campbell came close to understanding. He's dead now. Where did he go, do you think?
Quite a storm this young thing worked up. Who put her in her place? New World Strategies was dead.
Mi oh my. Manufactured women. How many do you think there are like us? We re still here, persisting as we always have. What is the last meal you ate? Was it good?
You should put this on your website. They will all read it.
Best,
Michelle
I replied to her email, and again I've been met with silence. The contents of this email are in no way a direct reply to any email I've sent her previously.
I assume by Mr. Campbell she is referring to late Brightview witness Stephen Campbell, who sadly passed away last year.
Aside from that, her meaning isn't clear. I hope she is well.
I suspect these mounting oddities are starting to get to me. I could have sworn I saw Greg on the street the other day, before realising it was a trick of my imagination. There's a part of me, however small, that is thinking about what my more indulgent colleague Cosmo would make of all this. And as that voice in my head, he's making the most sense he ever has.
But as always, I'm an observer of empirical evidence. I make no kind of claims about who or what this all means. I never could.
On a personal note, I will be stepping back significantly from the running of this page due to family commitments demanding my full-time attention. I will try and reply to emails when I can but will primarily be forwarding these to Joseph and Cosmo who will be more available than myself to follow them up. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us and shared their stories and interest over the many years. It's been an honour to represent the class of Brightview 1965.
Bryan.
26/01/2026 UPDATE: OFFICIAL BRIGHTVIEW REPORT?
Hello followers of this website.
Within the last few days I was forwarded a document that appears to be an official government report following up on the events of Brightview 1965 several years on. In lieu of a credited author or specific date, only a year is given, 1969. I'll open by saying I'm skeptical of its authenticity. We did not receive this via a freedom of information act, or through official channels, or even from a trusted informal source. Rather, it was recovered from the belongings of the late Zach Darcy, a game developer for the New World Strategies cult. It could be genuine - it could have been made in Photoshop.
The document is mainly a summary of information divulged by cross referencing various departmental data to present an attempt at a clear timeline. Therefore, we are given exact timestamps, which do mostly correlate to my understanding of the chain of events as presented by witnesses.
Frequently mentioned is alleged radar information RAAF and the ADF were privy to that would explain the speed at which soldiers arrived to the school, with the possible implication the UFOs left just before the military presence arrived (this is speculation on my part). The radar information does correspond to the UFO movements as we understand them, with an apparent earlier detection of all three saucers nearly half an hour before the Brightview sighting.
What I have been able to confirm is that the United States Air Force did have a small presence at RAAF Newsdale Air Base. The report would indicate these are ground troops. I can't find anything corroborating that there was an ADF presence there, and why they would have been deployed rather than Royal Australian Air Force sending its own ground troops. This could suggest forgery, but equally it could be an artefact of cold war strategy.
Witnesses often allude to men in suits, officials, people from the government. If we trust the report, we can assume these figures to be the oft-mentioned ASIS agents. Considering the references to Soviets, it's not out of the question that Australia's foreign intelligence agency may be the ones sent to the scene, but there's no official record of this happening. Of course, no one in government has been especially keen to publicise any evidence regarding the Brightview incident and if it were considered a risk to national security at the time, it would have made sense to withhold it.
We hear mention of Mr. Reynolds' camera being snatched in the official chronology, as well as a recommendation by the author to ASIS to share these photos with relevant defence agencies. This could be taken as confirmation of Mr. Reynolds as a photographer of the incident, and these could be the photos we became aware of through the New World Strategies website (please refer to the update dated 31/03/2024 at the bottom of this updates page for context).
This is also the first I am hearing of the controlled burning operation of Cornelius Jones' neighbouring farm by the USAF. There was indeed a Cornelius Jones who owned a farm situated east of the College in the 1960s, but I cannot find any information confirming the burning of his paddock. The report times this incident as occurring in the afternoon after the student population had dissipated, so it is plausible the student witnesses missed it.
The maps presented of the UFO placement do broadly correlate to eyewitness accounts. Their shape, colour, sound and movement also correspond. The report does not make mention of their size, the environmental anomalies, or the variety of physical effects reported by witnesses other than a short reference to fainting and nausea. Perhaps these omissions are for the sake of brevity.
The emergency assembly held by Headmaster Pickett is chronologized here. What's new is the suggestion that his attempt to silence witnesses may have specifically been actioned in co-ordination with government agents. Also new, the formal questioning of staff by ASIS. This could potentially explain some of the accounts of lingering students recalling staff being interviewed or harassed, and the reluctance of staff members to come forward in the years that followed.
Channel 9 and their media team appear in this report albeit with little detail. We are only given the military personnel's instruction to them to leave after interviewing a small pool of students. The author of this report alleges the interview film was initially preserved but later taped over. There's no mention of whether the material aired.
While the document makes a point to say there was not a proper headcount of students by the staff, missing from this report is any mention of subsequently disappeared student Autumn Mackenzie. Nor is there mention of school photographer Michael Smith taking his own stills of the UFOs.
I don't want to extrapolate too much from this document considering its veracity is still in question. I will say that if it is taken as fact, it is easy to infer the cover-up was an act of embarrassment and interdepartmental confusion rather than a nefarious, co-ordinated effort by a government in the know. This report would suggest all the governing bodies involved don't have a deeper explanation than the witnesses.
It is of course nothing a bored graphic design student couldn't make up after a thorough read of the information compiled on this website. Though I have forwarded it to several witnesses to see if they can confirm its reliability. Perhaps there is a glaring giveaway of its genuineness, one way or the other, I am missing by virtue of being outside of the events looking in.
My failing as the chief maintainer of this website is that I hesitate to update it before I know all the facts. On the one hand, it's good to be patient with these things. On the other, it means I rarely update it.
It's for this reason I've not often spoken about Trey Docketty, the youngest son of Gene Reynolds, whose personal life was notable but not necessarily relevant to our page. It's also a hesitation that has perhaps been exacerbated by the Reynolds family s general discomfort with their association with the Brightview 1965 sighting. I worry that over publicising the family's matters could potentially create an environment of speculation and harassment.
With that said, a significant update has occurred regarding Trey that we cannot ignore.
To provide some backstory, Trey Docketty (who changed his surname to his mother's maiden name in the early 2000s) disappeared while his wife was in labour on the 10th of July, 2012. As you will soon see, he was in a manic and distressed state at this time.
Not even an hour later, pieces of his body were discovered in the Dandenong Ranges, alongside that of the corpse of a missing boy from the area, Milo Richards, who had himself disappeared in February of 2008. All that was found of Trey was his arm and hand. The rest of his body was not found.
It may be clear why we have avoided speaking about this aspect of the Reynolds family history in detail until now. We have been aware of the tragic circumstances of Treys' passing for some time, and have referenced it on occassion, but did not want to suggest a connection between this tragic ordeal and the Brightview sighting by speculating about it on this site.
However, the YouTube channel that facilitated the release of the assumed UFO polaroids and made us aware of the connection between Brightview Secondary College and the New World Strategies cult, has now uploaded a series of videos featuring Trey. To be clear, this is not the cult uploading these videos, which is now defunct, but rather an unknown archivist. I have embedded the relevant videos below in chronological order.
WARNING: this footage may be distressing.
The former video switches between a series of stationary cameras mostly located in the Dandenong Ranges (or at least this is what it looks to my eye, please contact me with a correction if this isn t the case). Eventually this video lands on various shots of Trey Docketty out of breath, yelling manically before passing out. The latter video is security footage of his continued erratic behaviour in the Royal Children s Hospital.
If we are to trust the timestamps on these videos, we can assume Trey was in the Ranges approximately four hours before his disappearance at the Royal Children's Hospital and the discovery of Milo's body, also in the Dandeong Ranges. We can also assume this is likely to be the last known footage of Trey Docketty.
Something to note is the appearance of a man with a resemblance to deceased Brightview Secondary College custodian Greg Watkins, jumpsuit and all, on one of the stationary cameras. It's unclear if this man is invovled or just a pedestrian with a similar manner of dress and profile. Given the connection to Brightview I thought to mention it, but of course we can't see his face.
Here is a comparison image of the two men. The man from the video on the left, and Greg Watkins on the right.
I'm not sure what to make of this. It could be nothing.
Finally, late last year, shortly after the my interview with Nick Reynolds, I received an email from a woman claiming to be Trey's widow, Michelle Docketty. To be clear, we have had no prior contact. Her email read as follows:
Dear Bryan,
My name is Michelle Docketty. You have taken an interest in my husband's family. Have you seen this video? https://youtu.be/PO7u1D2ngJk: Is this the one you asked about? Look at the way he walks. Did he do it wrong? The girls are thirteen now. They never knew their father.
Lily and Lana. Think about it, two girls? Doesn't it just make sense? They recall all manner of things. They ask about him sometimes, and the woman with the slit neck. And the boy on his knees; he begs for freedom is what they tell me. I assure them these are just dreams. I know better. Tee hee.
Oh well. These things happen. Did I love Trey? Yes. He was my husband. If you heard the story of how we met, you wouldn't believe it. Tee hee.
I think your website is wonderful. The drawings are beautiful.
Best,
Michelle
I was already aware of the video she linked as I've been following the channels uploads. But I found Michelle contacting me specifically so soon after its release quite conspicuous, as was her strange and stilted manner of typing. Especially considering the subject matter was that of her husband's last known whereabouts. She would seem to purport here that we have a pre-existing dialouge of some kind, but this is simply not the case. If she's refering to my writings on this website, it's not clear which ones.
I replied at the time, and have attempted numerous times to follow up, but have not heard back. I have however been able to confirm by cross referencing her email address that this is indeed Michelle Docketty. As she noted approval of our work here, I have decided to share her comments. Please contact me Michelle if you'd like them removed.
In that same spirit, I have decided to leave up my interview with Nick, while noting that I am becoming somewhat uncomfortable with the blurring of lines that has become more common since the arrival of the How-To Video Results YouTube channel.
As always, I have just some of the puzzle pieces, and not the bigger picture. But perhaps putting it forward to our community might provide some clarity. Contact me at contact@brightview1965.com if you have any additional information or theories.
Please do not contact members of the Reynolds family regarding this matter. Thank you.
27/12/2025 UPDATE: NICK "AUSTIN" REYNOLDS
Hello readers,
I hope all have enjoyed a happy holiday.
I have something a little different today. This is not a major update by any means but does concern an individual somewhat related to the incident. Teacher and witness Gene Reynolds' grandson Nick "Austin" Reynolds agreed to speak with me about the case and his family.
To be clear: I am not a journalist, I am a researcher, so this is the attitude with which I approached our communication. Nick and I exchanged emails for a few days before he agreed to an off the record chat over the phone. We were ten minutes into the call when he became manic after some questions he felt were probing and told me that everything from now on was on the record. So that is where we are picking up from in the following exchange. As you will soon discover, this was short lived.
Nick: On the record! On the record! On the record!
Bryan: I understand.
Nick: We are on the record.
Bryan: Okay, so are you happy for me to re-establish the key points of our discussion up to this point for our readers?
Nick: I don't care what you do. Do you understand this? I am not a monster.
Bryan: I didn't say you were.
Nick: I am not a monster and anyone who told you so is lying. I am fixed. I fixed myself. I had a cigar that cleared my head in 2013.
Bryan: What?
Nick: When I came up here I had a big red cigar that said "relax" on it in big letters and I realised a lot of things. One of those things was that I just have to believe in myself. And that everything was behind me. I never even did another cigar. I did not have to.
Bryan: Okay.
Nick: Now you don't even know what to do. This is exactly what I meant. You are not ready. Did you know that there is an entire website where all anyone does is talk about how great I am? They say I have done bad things, but they know it's okay in the end because I have done good things. I do not want you telling anyone the first part of our phone call. That is private!
Bryan: In that case I won't, but I'd like to follow up on a couple of items we discussed if that's okay-
Nick: You have no idea what you just stepped in, Mr. Cowboy. The Nick Austin forum is going to go after you and wreck your life.
Bryan: The Nick Austin forum?
Nick: Someone made it with the createaforum website. Because they were a fan. You get to pick the colours and put up the pictures and everything. Many go there just to talk about how they want to **** me. They will wreck your life.
I will not hear you discredit my grandfather, who bopped me up and down on his knee just because he loved me.
Bryan: I'm not interested in discrediting Gene, or you for that matter. I believe our readers would be interested to know what you can tell us about Gene Reynolds or [your uncle] Trey Docketty.
Nick: Here is what I can tell you. People like you destroyed my grandfather. He saw an incredible thing and tried to protect us from it with his quiet lips. But you had to prod and prod and prod. No one lets the sleeping dogs rest.
Bryan: Who are you referring to when you say that?
Nick: Tall men. Strange men. If he had been allowed his silence this would all be different.
Here are the rules. You have to call me Nick Austin. You aren't going to mention the old lady. The place wasn't even in his name technically, so you won't find it.
Bryan: When you say "the place", you're referring to your living quarters? And "old lady", you mean Eleanor Mitchell? You mentioned her earlier.
Nick: You're not allowed to say that. I commanded it.
Bryan: We're on the record.
Nick: Fine! Then put it on your website. I don't care. I pay for my own groceries and DVDs with my own money. I stay up to date on the latest movies. I have seen the Spiderman movie. You gonna call the cops on me for that? It is not even illegal to have DVDs or watch Spiderman Movie. I know. Ask me a question and I will tell you what Uncle Trey would have answered.
Bryan: Okay. How would you describe your relationship with your nephew?
Nick: I don't care! (blowing raspberries) That is what he would have said, and you would have lost your mind. He was quick on his feet, he's a liar, he lied about me on the interview on the website. He is wrong. I am not sick. I am not sick!
But he was strong. He travelled so much further than you can ever know. We dreamed it, he lived it. Understand this: the men in their suits told my grandfather to stay quiet. And he did. But he told his children. He told them everything. You know what that means? My father learnt the truth of the world. He raised me knowing what happens to weak people. They get crushed.
Bryan: Do you believe he influenced Trey's belief in this connection between dreams and the Brightview incident? Or do you believe they're genuinely related in some esoteric sense?
Nick: (imitating buzzer noise) ehh! You are meant to ask questions with me as Uncle Trey and you ****** it. Mark this day on your calendar as the day you ****** up real bad. The clock is ticking. Tick tock! Tick tock!
After this remark he hung up. He did not pick up when I redialled. He then sent me an email saying that if I published this interview, he would tell people it was AI generated as a plot to discredit him. I weighed up whether to publish our exchange but ultimately felt he did offer enough compelling information in relation to his family that I have decided to go ahead with it.
As to the content of his revelations, I will leave the interpretation up to you, reader. Some clarifications: when I referenced Eleanor Mitchell, I was referring to his independently bringing her up at multiple points earlier in our chat. Trey Docketty is his uncle and the youngest son of Gene Reynolds. When Nick mentions an interview with his uncle, he is referring to this piece from 2005, purportedly conducted by an unidentified Brightview witness, though take this with a grain of salt. I do not have a link to the forum Nick references.
I understand that while it may seem amusing to get in touch with him yourself, I recommend you do not contact him as he may be unstable and dangerous. I want to be clear that I am aware Nick has been evading law enforcement for many years following an incident of grave bodily harm in 2004. I have passed on what information I am ethically within my means to share with the authorities in regard to this matter. Please do not contact members of the Reynolds family.
I am planning to continue to update this page in the new year as more information comes to light.
Happy new year.
31/03/2024 UPDATE: UFO IMAGES
Hello followers of this case and witnesses alike,
It's our pleasure to bring you up to date with some new information on the Brightview 1965 UFO sighting. However, I'll warn you ahead of time that there's no smoking gun just yet. But it looks like we're a few steps closer.
We've taken our time to verify the information we're publishing here before going ahead with it. We thank everyone for their patience as we went through this laborious process.
In Feburary of this year, individuals following a certain Youtube page began to contact us. This Youtube page uploaded instructional videos, which happened to link to this website. So why was that?
Connections began to present themselves. A man featured in the videos, Nick Reynolds (operating under the stage name 'Nick Austin') is the descendant of Gene Reynolds, who was a science teacher at Brightview Secondary College and a key witness in the UFO sighting. Our initial thought was perhaps this individual was uploading videos he'd made and was simply wanted to showcase our work.
However, it would seem around the time these videos were made (~2007) Nick Reynolds had for some years been missing, last seen after committing an act of grave bodily harm and stealing his father's car. We did make contact with Nick and a conducted a somewhat fraught interview which you can read below. We've approached his father and Gene's son, Mark Reynolds, for comment but he has not returned our correspondence. We have however been asked by a concerned party that we do not disclose the nature of this act, and we wish to respect their wishes.
If it ended there we'd likely have not mentioned it. But there's more.
Upon careful inspection of the filming location of these videos and comparison against photography of Brightview Secondary College while it was operational, it's clear they are one and the same. In pursuit of this thread, Bryan made an information request to confirm that an orgnaisation named 'New World Strategies' purchased the school in a private sale in 1993, six months after it has ceased operations. Under their ownership the school was renamed 'Brightview Acheivement Grounds'.
Brightview Secondary College (1993)
New World Strategies was the now defunct organisation that produced these videos, and therefore employed Nick Reynolds to host a number of them. How many and for how long, we're not sure. We do suspect those behind New World Strategies had some fascination with the Brightview sighting, though to what extent we're again not sure.
What someone was able to find hidden in their website, is what we suspect are Gene's confiscated UFO pictures. While even with months of inspection we cannot absolutely confirm their authenticity, though we're inclined to believe they're 'the real deal'. See for yourself.
Anyone who has speculation to offer on these images or proof of authenticity, please get in touch at contact@brightview1965.com.
Cosmo Reichi, former organiser of UFO United and regular contribuor to this website, has offered his thoughts below:
IMAGE ONE: Immediately we notice TWO crafts amongst the clouds. It is clear the nearest craft has been captured in a state of hyper rotation. It's likely these vehicles are currently in transport, as in their native state there would be more immediate contrast between them and the clouds. The vehicle in the distance would seem to be overseeing the nearest craft, or perhaps operating as backup. Or perhaps it is leaving the contamination site, as the third UFO present is often said to have done, but I believe this is not very likely at all for reasons stated below...
IMAGE TWO:ZOOM! Now this is a craft that's making a break for it. We see that it's crossing over the power lines in the bottom left, likely avoiding electronic overstimulation by travelling underneath. We see its shape more clearly and can confidently say this is closer in form to a survellience craft, often used by greys. But it mightn't be greys after all.
IMAGE THREE: Closer in but blurier. Still, we can see the shape has changed, morphed into something smoother with less curves. This may be the pilots activating a hyper drive, or it's evidence of shape shifters, whose ships are clearly advanced enough to simulate the biological function of transformation. This could be an explanation for the distinction in details between encounters.
- Cosmo
Now, the frustrating part is this doesn't really lead us to a firm answer, does it! What we can at least be grateful for is that this has surely brought us closer, if for nothing other than we found these infamous pictures hiding away on their website for who knows how long!
Thank you again for your patience. If you have any additional information, please contact
us at contact@brightview1965.com.
